I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely Victorian boutique hotel, and it offered a unique blend of traditional charm with modern touches. The room featured delightful monkey-patterned wallpaper and rattan lampshades, perfectly complemented by sweeping estuary views that created a relaxing atmosphere. Check-in was smooth, and the staff provided helpful recommendations for local walks, including a printed map with top spots to explore. While the food was decent, I did encounter some inconsistencies; one morning, the pancakes were unfortunately burnt and undercooked. The overall dining experience was satisfactory, with a variety of choices across meals. The hotel's location was ideal for sightseeing, with easy access to nearby attractions, allowing for a well-rounded stay. It was a memorable visit that balanced character and comfort; while there is room for improvement in some areas, the enticing views and calming design truly enhanced the experience. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway amidst stunning scenery.
